Maybe they'll come together again. Right dog, wrong time.

Oh... guess my suspicions/worries were right all along. I was really hoping they'd stick together and work things out with the new perspectives they had. Ugh.

Peentz

Honestly, I think this was healthy for the both of them. It seemed to me like there weren't as many dogs back on Asmundr, at least not as close to the pack, so Jahla and Rhov didn't have as many options. It was just them, so that was what they chose, but now that both of them can explore and have more options open to them, they're able to go back to a friendly, sibling relationship, and looking those last two panels, they seem legitimately happy. Like Jackal said though, I hope Rhov doesn't feel slighted that Jahla didn't ask about what's been happening with him as much.

Been thinking about this page a lot. She says she's changed so much yet she doesn't even bother to learn how Rhov has changed, too. That's what makes this the most sad, to me.

The amount of time they were apart really wasn't *that* long... I'm disappointed they were so quick to break it off. I was rooting for them so much. That said, if it had to end between them, this is a sweeter way to do it. They're still family with a deep bond.

Hannah P

I'm excited to see this development honestly. While I would have liked to see them try and see if they could still work, it makes sense that the answer is to break apart. They can see each other now, yeah, but Rhov still has a lot of traveling to do. He's still searching for their family, he still has to leave the guild. Jahla has so much on her plate that trying to wait even longer to see if maybe they can be a thing, it doesn't really feel worth it. Not when having this answer truly opens her up to working on the connections she will have within her tribe

Farvardin

Still a tear jerker. Breaking up is never easy, but you know they're truly you're best friend when all they care about is your well being and happiness.

Foxy

Yeah, let’s hope that that particular discussion might come at a later time, when/if they meet again. Rhov still doesn’t know the exact details about Jahla’s fight with Rohgir, after all, nor does he know that there is a whole tribe of other Akiulfr… and I feel like that should be something Jahla will share with him, if she still trusts and confides on him as a friend, at least.

I was hoping for this, though I didnt expect it to be so well received on both ends! I felt like they'd both grown apart- literally via distance, and emotionally+personality-wise. It felt right to me for them to end the romantic aspect of their relationship. I think it was holding them back- to be carrying around the young love they once had long ago, when everything in their lives now is so different. We, the readers, have been up to date on both of them, but from their POV they've had no contact in all this time. They were my favorite couple in the before times, but they've both grown up and had life experiences. Their world was a lot smaller back then. They've both become matured adults and have responsibilities and leadership roles. I'm looking forward to seeing where they go from here :)

This reminds me of what happened when a friend of mine got out of military service….

KingLabanc

Aw not what I wanted to happen 😭 was really hoping they work it out or at least try to work things out before calling it a quits

TribalWolf

Oh, damn 🥲 now I am sad. I let myself be in denial for a second there, I suppose LOL I really just sat here and went "it's not a breakup -- just a 'lets wing it for now and not label it'" 😭 Well, then I agree with what everyone else has said. I'm glad it was broken off maturely. Those last two panels are so goddamn cute, too.

Paradigox

They broke up X)

Kique Nordin

I'm surprised by the comments, because I didn't see this as a break up, but a more of a "wait and see how this ends up between is; let's not just automatically try to be the same people we were before this all happened and act as though nothing has changed, therefore keeping ourselves and our relationship stagnant" vibe! But now I'm not so sure after seeing what everyone else has said :'D I hope Kique lets us know, since I'm torn on how to feel, depending on what this means. I'm not sure whether to be sad they're not together or not LMAOO

Paradigox

Couldn't have said it better. I'm happy there's no heartbreak and they just move on as close friends at least. But I'd have wished for them to at least talk about their fight and that they can understand the other's point they had back then better. I thought that's what was gonna happen after the last panel in the previous page. And then move over to this pages topics. Well, maybe they still talk about it if she tells him more about her brother and the other Akis.

Yami

You basically summed up my thoughts and emotions perfectly

This is a nice page. I’m actually pleasantly surprised. Don’t get me wrong, while I’m not at all happy that they’ve decided to split up, I *am* happy that they were able to part maturely, and on good terms with one another, able to at least remain as close friends. It’s nice to see them smiling and laughing, and the throwbacks to their bonding moments after they first met in “Asmundr” are nice. However, to me, it’s all bittersweet, as it only makes me miss their moments together, as a couple, even more; especially since, though they *did* get together quite young, for sure, let’s not forget, that *years* had passed, after that… and they still remained a couple, so… the way I see it, there *had* to have been more between them than just “puppy love”, for them to have stayed together, that long. I wish we could’ve actually seen these moments; in “Home”, it really just felt like every scene with them was nothing but arguing (I know that there were a few scenes where they weren’t, but nothing that really established them as a loving couple; honestly, unless you had read “Asmundr”, beforehand, I would find it hard to believe that they actually *were* a couple, and I just wish that their bond would’ve been shown, better, before they were separated after their fight). I still maintain my opinion that, although both have grown and changed, during their experiences in Aedra, this should actually cause them to understand each other better, and grow together, as a couple, with the potential to strengthen their bond, rather than weaken it (and I still think Jahla should understand where Rhov was coming from now, when he mentioned not trusting Father, and the importance of questioning even someone you trust, when they do something that doesn’t seem right), although clearly, that’s not the direction this is going. But, oh well. At least the two of them talked this out, and decided to break up, on mutual terms. I always said that if they did break up, I wanted them to do it the “right” way, and in that sense, I’m satisfied. ^^
