Review Update (#2? I can't remember)

Hey everyone, it's me. I don't know how many people on this Patreon follow me on twitter so you may have missed a few updates about this review. I didn't think about that until just now so I'm sorry for leaving y'all more or less in the dark. I'm gonna try to keep this post decently short but if you've got any specific details you'd like to have clarified feel free to send me a private message here on Patreon, I'll get back to you as soon as I see it.

Now, as I'm sure you've noticed this is the longest I've ever gone without posting a single video and is close to the longest I've ever spent working on a review (only beaten out by The Surge, which I started working on in mid May and didn't finish until mid September (4 full months). This gap probably feels longer because I didn't make any videos to bridge the gap like the PUBG one, this was a conscious decision of mine because I didn't want to take time away from working on the review but I've come to realize that was a mistake because it's left my channel barren for 3 months now. In the future large projects like this will have a few small buffers in between, it might make them take 1 or 2 weeks longer to make but I think having something posted in the meantime would be better for both you as viewers and patrons and me as a creator.

So now on to me, and the personal reasons this review is taking so long. If you've followed me on twitter you'll know that I've been dealing with some mental health issues over the past few months, both because of the stress of how long this video is taking me and because of unrelated "real life" stuff. I've had a few nervous breakdowns in the past month or so and have sort of slowed down production of the video a bit to help me maintain my sanity a bit more easily. This is supposed to be fun, and breaking down from stress and anxiety is not fun. If I'm not having fun making a video the video's quality suffers, so I'm trying to keep that in mind while I finish up this video.

It's also a long one, the longest review yet coming in at pretty much exactly 40 minutes. With the breakneck pace/presentation of my videos... That's a lot of content to make. I feel like it sort of goes without saying that long videos take longer to make, but I'm an insecure bitch so I want to show that this is almost exactly 1:1 from videos I made before I had the Patreon set up:

Life is Strange/Night in the Woods Review

Length: 19.5 minutes of actual scripted content

Production Time: 6 weeks (1.5 months)

Curent Review

Length: 39.5 minutes of actual scripted content

Production Time: 13 weeks (3.25 months)

At present I am planning on going back to 15-20 minute reviews with some non-reviews sprinkled in as well, at least for a while. It allows me to put out the videos more quickly and I don't grow as tired of working on them, making it more fun for me.

I want to thank everyone for sticking around in spite of how slow the videos have been coming out, I like to keep my Patreon set to monthly so that people can know EXACTLY how much they're paying going in, even though I know that probably turns a lot of people off. If you would prefer I switch it to per-video feel free to contact me about it, I have toyed with the idea a few times but every time I've posted about doing that people have seemingly almost unanimously wanted me to keep it the way it is. I figured I'd ask the Patrons directly about it since they're the ones directly affected by it.

This review will include a special bonus reward for all Patrons, since it suits doing that. I hope this update helped or something, and again, thank you so much for your support.
