Huai Dan appreciaton<3
Added 2021-12-29 21:32:42 +0000 UTCA character I've drawn a bit this month! He's a xianxia redesign/AU for my lion oc, Tsavo. I'd had it in mind for a long time that Tsavo's human au self would be a serial killer sort, but with a Dexter-esc quality to it of some form. I never really had a proper universe for it since plain modern settings are boring as hell to me! A xianxia setting works perfectly for him in that his character can be grounded yet high fantasy at the same time.
In this setting, his name is Huai Dan, The Fire Scoundrel, an angry ghost that burns down temples and attacks (mostly) religious figures. While he's not extremely powerful, he's tricky and has been hard to corner.
His tusks are challenging to draw for me! At least to make look right. At this point, I'm thoroughly comfortable with big tusks on orc faces, which are build for the jawline, but this anatomy with those teeth have been enriching to practice!
