It's been quite a while since I've made an update here, although that doesn't mean that I haven't been been quietly working away. As some of you know, I released the game Epanalepsis a little while back, and the combination of the stress of that and its sort-of floundering release set me back via a couple different kinds of stress.
But that was that! I'm super proud to have released the exact game that I wanted to release, and more importantly, your continued support in the time afterward has been an immense system of emotional validation.
So I went through a bit of "why do I make anything!" and now I'm out of it and clanking away on some smaller, more intimate things that (hopefully) you will love.
I've been intermittently blogging again, and my plan is to slowly amp that back up into the five posts a week I was doing about a year ago. Getting back in the swing is hard, but I'm getting there! You can check out that newer stuff here.
I'm supplementing the blog with some YouTube video stuff! I'm having quite a bit of fun doing that, and there's some particular affordances of that medium that are really awesome to play with. You can see that work here! Some new, weird stuff is coming soon, as well as some more traditional Let's Play work around Final Fantasy 8. I'm trying to do critical work in a longform video format, and I'm definitely interested in any feedback on those efforts.
I'm always interested in suggestions of games, films, or music you think I should check out, so feel free to comment here or on any other channel if you've got something you're burning for me to check out!
Once again, thanks so much for your continued support. Quite literally, you keep me making things. And it's massively, massively important to me. So much that I can't quite communicate it!
