Super Paradox Slugs - They whistle!
Added 2019-11-04 00:30:29 +0000 UTCSteve from Fortunecookie45lc was kind to send us some of his Super Paradox slugs to test out. He had found a good recipe through a lot of testing and had good results through full rifling. I used Long Shot, a powder he didn't test so we were starting from scratch. But we also tested the slugs through cylinder bore and rifled choke.

I think I used Winchester primers. 30 to 35 grains of Longshot would be a good starting point.

What powder charge of longshot and primer combo would be a safe starting point? Can’t seem to locate any Blue Dot these days. I have plenty of long shot and a chronograph though.

2019-11-04 01:56:14 +0000 UTCJeff, Danny, and Greg. Steve (I believe is the front runner) in development when it comes to the Sarvog Molds. 750 grs of a projectile is pretty impressive @1100 fps. By way of comparison, the Bernanke slugs do not hold a candle to the kinetic energy striking power. The wobbling effect (In my opinion) is because of a deformed skirt at the release at the muzzle, I do not think you can do anything about that other than reduce pressure using a lighter load of propellant.
