Snake Eater 1 & 2 (Air Date 4/04/92) Plus Promo (Air Date 3/92)

(Intro, Bridge at 5:29, Outro at 9:43, Bonus Promo at 11:18)

Happy Splatterday, Patreon Pals! I'm a lil' late getting this one posted, but it's been a long work/travel day for me & to be honest, I'd forgotten what day it was! 😋 But it's still Saturday Night  in El Lay, so technically we can still tear the heart out of it! 🥰

The mailbags here really spoke to me...Beavers for Tweeters forever!! And I can ass-ure you that JB takes his bolos VERY seriously!! 😉 This promo was clearly shot at the same time (and advertised some of the clips I've posted here! ☺️) so I left it in for you...interesting to know he's been defending his breast counts since way back then! (Another thing he takes VERY seriously!!)

I'm regrettably behind with messages here, but I have most of the day off tomw, and I plan to use a huge chunk of it getting back to everyone. Thanks so much for being patient with me, and thanks EXTRA much to everyone who got through Audition with us last night. (A lot of folks consider that one a cl-ass-sick, but others, understandably, do not... 😉)

Enjoy the JB goodness, freaky f(r)iends! Sending a whole heap o' love your way! 🥰 xoxo

Just finished watching Snake Eater for the first time thanks to this! Glad I did. Bummed I can't find a streaming copy of SE2, but based on the end reaction, I think I'm ok, haha. Thanks I'm late on this one but thanks Darcy!

OMG, I haven't heard the word tweeter used in this context in about 20 years. Though, in fairness, there was the "Wait, what does this mean?" part of me (where I wasn't actually asking that question) that wished Joe Bob would add such things to his count back then.

Tweeter??

Lol yay! Thank you so much, Bill! We super appreciate you watching & I’m so happy you had fun! 🖤

OMG, I just had a vivid flashback of being eleven, and having caught this episode live. And now my mind is blown wide open. Where does the time go?

What a great episode Friday night! I am a fan of both Audition and Class of 1984. I will never hear the sounds "kiri kiri" the same again. Joe Bob and Darcy were on fire here. I loved Joe Bob's run down of the Van Patton family and Darcy's "Oh God" reaction to the joke at the end of the show. This mutant loves it all! Beavers and tweeters had me rolling on the floor laughing.

I love Audition, one of the few "slow burns" that do it for me. I love that if you just hop into it blind, not knowing anything, for the first like 55 minutes it could very well be a romantic comedy.

If only there was some tenuous way of getting these 90s action flicks on Shudder or those period dramas that tell the tales of the working class striving against the behemoth that is capitalism....you know, the ones that always have "Bikini" in the title. I'm trying to get myself to watch Audition today, I think I've come to the realisation that torture horror is my least favorite genre of horror, maybe on par with found footage.....unless it's Troll Hunter.

I liked Audition. I'd never seen it before. It's been on my list of things I should probably watch. Having Professor Joe Bob there to guide me through the movie & guide me through the surrealism was super cool. I'm a Takashi Miike fan because of The Last Drive In and Joe Bob. Last year I saw First Love, which I enjoyed. It's nothing like Audition! But, it's definitely Takashi Miike. The scene in Audition that freaks me out is when she tortures him with the acupuncture needles. She cutely and playfully repeats that word (kuri kuri kuri), while inserting each needle - torturing his mind while inflicting pain. That's frightening. Cutting off limbs and tongue, making the guy in the bag eat puke, that didn't phase me. Kuri Kuri Kuri -- that will keep me awake at night.

Audition is a classic. No worries

Don't feel de-feeted, we had lots of fun last night ;-) LOVED The Mannix vs. Cannon debate!!!

"What is a Tweeter!?" -- Joe Bob Briggs, 1992

Audition was a fun time! I knew there was a reason I waited to watch it! Now everyone in the Mutantfam knows how to say Deeper in Japanese 😎👍🏻
