(oops, sorry for that) seem to have gotten complacent and satisfied with victories only on the social front while leaving economics and power structures aside as a playground for conservatives to wreak havoc on ?

Are the low turnouts and the protest votes really that much of surprise when one considers the fact that most of the intellectual left (the academia, the mainstream media and, yes, even the alternative media like youtubers, bloggers and podcasters)
