Release date update
Added 2021-03-30 00:45:12 +0000 UTCHi folks! If you're in our Discord server, then you're already aware of this info and you can ignore the email you've undoubtedly received regarding this. For the rest of you, we wanted to make sure you were updated on our current status. Writing for chapter 1 is complete and work has started on chapter 2. We do expect to make some minor changes once the render process is complete and we have the first chapter completely coded, but for now we're done with all writing on it.
The render process is taking slightly longer than we'd anticipated, in part because Slockie upped the quality on the chapter's later renders and it, of course, increased render time. But we also had a small snafu last week that involved having to rebuild some assets, and it isn't a problem we expect to have to deal with again. Slockie has everything backed up on two separate SSDs, so we should be safe if something goes haywire in the future.
With that in mind, we're pushing back release a few days. We can't give a specific release date yet, because we don't want to put ourselves in a position where we'd have to reassess again if something else happens, but it shouldn't be a serious delay and we'll be keeping everyone updated on Discord as to our current status.
