Chapter 3 restarts

This is our first go at creating a game, and it's been a learning process. This is the first visual novel I've written, and the first one Slockie has had to code. So we aren't always doing things as efficiently as they could be done. As we gain more experience, though, we're seeing where our mistakes are, and we'd like to fix them.
One of our patrons, pjb, has generously offered to go through the code and streamline it, fix some mistakes, and make recommendations for any other changes and future builds. We'd like to take advantage of his offer and use his knowledge to make the game better, while at the same time adding some new variables to ensure that players aren't being accidentally shunted onto paths they didn't intend to follow.
This will, of course, break most (if not all) saves. But it'll mean the game will work better and the story will be less prone to jumping to tracks you didn't want to be on.
With that in mind, we wanted to check with you, our patrons, to ensure you're okay with the potential requirement of a restart. We don't plan to add new scenes or content to the first two chapters, so you won't be required to pay attention during a replay. Just ctrl through the game and make the same decisions you had before. I promise you, this would be the very last time we break saves for the game. We understand it can be frustrating to replay large sections of a game, but we genuinely think it would be better in the long run.
