Boys Planet Ep 9

a) It's Yuehua entertainment that Ricky and Gyuvin come from. I've since seen the vision for both of them and I also now better understand that they likely stood out so much from the beginning for being meme kings and (alongside being skilled at what they do) I'm actually very happy that they got in, now. My hangup with Yujin has always been that I think K-pop should stop debuting minors and that he seems to get really easily stressed-upset, and while I still stand by that, I'm still gonna stan because he definitely has great potential and I'm happy that he got to debut with Rocky and Gyuvin (Yujin is Yuehua too if you forgot like I did by this point)
b) Also note that I still hadn't looked Jiwoong up outside of the show very much so I hadn't heard his OST yet (my guy can SING btw, though his voice seems way more suited for ballads if he made an effort to specifically polish his vocals then I think he could be one of the most noteworthy male vocals of this gen) so I'm still just operating under the assumption that since he's debuted twice in the past before this then he has to be able to sing/rap good enough to debut.
c) I was very focused on giving Matthew grace because I like him, so I got caught up in the sob story lol. Something about it bothered me initially but I don't verbalize it until next episode. I love him and all, but the way he reacted wasn't great. I get it, he was probs just stressed and anxious and feeling the pressure and they could have approached it differently I guess (though there was nothing wrong with the way they did it except for perhaps Hanbin should have been quicker to bring it forward), but the way Matthew reacted really wasn't fair to the group and I feel weird not acknowledging it.
