Trust

My mom sent me this photo from a day in Colorado. We still don’t know all the reasons for her move. I miss her. But I know that she trusts in the Lord and so when I talk to her, she reminds me of His majesty and glory and that I can keep trusting too.
Sometimes all it takes to remember Who God is is to look at nature. Isn’t it amazing the beauty that you can see? When we look up from our phones, tablets and TVs and see the things God is still doing, it is a marvel.
My husband likes to walk and pray walking on the boardwalk when he gets the chance. Why not just walk in the neighborhood? I’m sure that is great too, because I do that often and see the beauty of the trees and nature right in my own “backyard.” But somehow the vastness of the ocean brings to mind that God is still in control….the waves still come in and go out. The world is still in His hands. And small as we are, we are the apple of His eye.
Keep me as the apple of your eye; hide me in the shadow of your wings, Psalm 17:8

This is lovely Jennifer. Trust: Such a powerful word and concept in so many ways. As difficult as it can be to implement, trust is a need for every person.
