There is something unique about the life of a believer. Something dynamic and mystifying yet often misunderstood. It is the way we find freedom, by committing our lives to the Lord. It seems like an oxymoron—this lifestyle of surrender that actually bestows true indulgence upon us because it leads to the joy and peace only he can give.
Yielding to the Lord, surrendering all that we are, have been, and hope to be, actually extricates us from the snags that grip our souls. Frees us from what has held us back from a truly satisfying life. When we live from a posture of humility, we give the Lamb the power to subdue all things in us. His nature, the very Life of Christ within us, rises to the surface. Every dark thing or wild nature in us will lie down in submission under his dominion. Our submission is our ultimate source of freedom.
Father, I invite your searching gaze into my soul. Highlight the areas that haven’t yet bowed in submission to you. Free me from bad attitudes, judgmental thinking, temptation, and pride. Help me walk humbly with you so every dark area in me will lie down in complete surrender to you.

Isaiah 11:6
The Passion Translation
The wolf will be subdued and live with the gentle lamb, and the leopard will lie down with the gentle lamb. The young calf and the ferocious lion will be together, and as a shepherd drives his flock, a small child will guide them along!
