I read this devotion in my Prayers On Fire book and thought I’d share it with you.
The heavens belong to our God; they are His alone, but He has given us the earth and put us in charge. Psalm 115:16
What an honor it is to glorify Your name. To be known as a passionate lover of God. To know the very One who formed me, the Creator of heaven and earth. I trust more in Your love than in my ability to accomplish great things. You’ve placed the earth in my charge–stay close to me. Unlock the fears that hold me back. If I shine, it is only because You are shining through me.
As I bow in reverence before You, You give me more. More of You. More peace. More joy. Most of all You satisfy my soul, yet You flood me with unquenchable desire to know You even more. Blessings upon blessings overflow in my life and will continue through the generations.
Your promises are my delight. With humility I listen as You speak within my heart. Lead me beyond the borders I have set for my faith. Help me to remember who I am–the me I don’t yet see.
