Good morning!

“God is not your employee” is a statement my friend Pastor Jim discussed and I thought it was such a great way to look at how we often treat God.

As he said, we may start off thanking God for this or that and then we get down to business and give Him our list and how we think He should go about fixing all the things we want fixing.

Wow. How presumptuous we can be! God is certainly not needing our advice on how to handle things! It is so common, though, that I don’t think we even give it a second thought.

We definitely should approach Him with the things that concern us. However, how much more freeing it is to praise Him for the concerns and the ways He is going to go about working in and through them!

My prayer is to have eyes to see and ears to hear so that I can be more aware of Him working. I can trust my Father for knowing the how and the why and the way!

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." Proverbs 3:5-6
