Weekly Update #46

Woo, I actually got more than just writing done last week. Unfortunately, right when it was the weekend and I was ready to write SG and LDQ... the air broke. I complained about this a lot in the Discord. Anyways, it was too miserably hot to write so I paid for somebody to come out yesterday and fix it and then got to writing once it was evening and cool! So, between no longer having the burden of knowing I have to cross-post 400+ chapters and having my air fixed, this week should go much more smoothly unless something else decides to pop up and be annoying.

Alright, 43 hours last week. Also, it wasn't intentional, but I'm kind of liking this "middle of the week off and then only 1 weekend day off" thing that I've been doing. It kind of sucks not having two days off in a row on the weekend, but it's not like I need to have both of those days off in a row. It's more mentally-recharging to have a day between Tuesday and Thursday off. I don't know if I'm going to do that on purpose this week, but if I do, I'm not going to worry too much about it since I previously felt bad about it. I'm happy as long as I still get all of the week's writing done.

The True Endgame

I think TTE actually had the best chapter out of all my stories last week. This next one is probably going to be more challenging for me to write with what I have in mind, but we'll see. Other than that, not much to talk about. Oh, it's nice knowing that people liked the yuri-ness of the last chapter seeing as how I don't really like yuri at all and have only very rarely written it before.

Ero Dungeon Evolution

Last week's chapter was a pretty nice one, imo. It showed some more of everybody in the dungeon which was the point. I wanted to show what everybody is more or less up to. This next chapter will likely be a bit more SoL-y as well, and then we'll probably get more lewds, and then... well, I can't just give spoilers.

The Queen's Hound

I mentioned this briefly on the last chapter's post, but I think these latest chapters might scare some people away. It's not that I believe they're bad chapters, it's just that the real story of this series is beginning. It's no longer going to be just a loner pup grinding levels in a tower. There is going to be much more character interaction with more of a focus on plot and characters rather than just stats and numbers. I also know that many people who were always hoping for the murderhobo route are going to be disappointed. Pretty much this entire first volume is just one giant prologue.

Anyways, tonight is this volume's last chapter. It's going to be another slower one focusing on characters and dialogue and worldbuilding and all of that, but then we're going to be jumping right back into the action next week with the start of the second volume! So, if you're feeling twitchy about not getting any stats or levels lately (don't read EDE if that's the case), fear not because I plan on the second volume starting off hot. Survive this week and then we'll be back into the action (but with more plot and characters)!

Lazy Dragon Queen

Vala finally got to live up to her name a bit more, and this week's chapter is probably going to continue keeping this story faster-progressing than all of my other ones which really wasn't intended at all. Though, this last chapter really had barely any progress since it was mostly a lazy, relaxation chapter consisting of mostly internal monologue. I had fun with it, though, and part of my style with this story is just not caring about all the "rules" to instead just write purely what I want to write regardless of whether or not it might be bad or boring. Anyways, look forward to the next battle and some farming this week!

The Legend of Best Boi

You've probably seen me mention this on the Discord in the past week, but anyways, I just really want to write a story where the MC is basically this guy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uaWA2GbcnJU and the whole thing is super positive, friendly, and optimistic. RR would absolutely despise it! Anyways, I had some good ideas for this and wanted to get to writing them this weekend, but then the AC breaking thing happened and then I started thinking about other ways I could tell this story. So, I have no idea when I'm actually going to get around to this. It might not even end up being my next story, but it definitely is something I want to do at some point.

Whatever the case, I'm probably not going to start writing another story until LDQ is released for non-patrons, and I really want to finish developing my latest writing style for it first. I'm still experimenting with my style a bit in LDQ with how I want to narrate stories, how much fourth-wall breaking there is, how surreal/nonsensical things are, etc. I really, really love my style in LDQ, but I don't think it's perfect yet. So, I'm going to finish getting LDQ ready for RR and SH and all that and finalize this new style before I start writing anything else. I just figured I'd bring up the legend of best boi here since I talked about it a bunch over on Discord.
