Weekly Update #61

The strawberry lemonade mead I started the other week is already at 16% abv and already tastes pretty good. Alas, it's still going to be a few months before it's done. And then it's supposed to get even better as it ages to a year and beyond because, ya know, alcohol.

Fortunately, the batch I'm brewing is 5 gallons (was originally 6.5 gallons, but uh... there were problems), so that'll be about 25 bottles I get out of it. I'll be able to drink a few upfront and let the rest age > : ^ ).

44 hours. That's more like it. Pretty nice on time especially considering that I may or may not have decided to try writing a new thing in the middle of the week that took up some time.

The True Endgame

It may be because I'm taste testing my mead right after waking up and haven't eaten yet, so I'm feelin' it, but I can't really think of much to say for the stories this week.

I will, however, say that there is some more real life slice of life cutesy romance stuff coming up this week. I've been in a super romance mood lately. Also, I think Serra has gotten a pretty good amount of attention so far this volume for being the first girl. First girls usually get less attention as time goes on or something like that, but I make sure to keep all the girls around!

So, now that Serra has got a bunch of time in this latest volume, who's the next star?

Ero Dungeon Online

Yeah, it's pretty much official now that I'm switching over to EDO. I'm just enjoying it way better, overall reactions to it have been positive, and so on. I am a bit worried about doing it since I know it means losing patrons (and I've already lost some over it) when Patreon is my main source of income, but I've got to do what I believe is best for my stories. EDO is what I believe is best for EDE.

Some people have brought up wanting me to post my plans for EDE and stuff like that. I do have loose, overall plans regarding EDE and where it was going to go, but I'm probably going to keep those secret for a bit longer at least. After all, if I decide to go back to it by some chance in the future, then that means it would all be spoiled.

All I can really say is that my original long-term plot points for EDE... probably would have looked really stupid and out of place given how "serious" the story ended up being.

The Queen's Hound

This week's chapter was one of those kinda-meh "intermission" chapters to connect one scene to another. I'll most likely end up revising the latest chapter pretty hard when it comes to editing/revising for self-publication. I just didn't want to get stuck and delay release since it was already pretty late. The next chapter should certainly be fun, though.

Lazy Dragon Queen

One of the best parts of writing this story is coming up with the enemies that are fought. My favorite is probably still the bagged cat enemy, but the new one in the latest chapter is a strong contender for that honor. Also, I realized that I'm already over the length that I had planned for the first volume and only like halfway through what I had planned for it. I should probably check my plans more often. So, some things are going to be moved around behind the scenes and the first volume should be coming to a wrap soonish.

Also, it may all be fun and games right now, but I came up with a great plot arc earlier this week for something pretty emotional later on. That's going to be fun to get to, but it's a while away. Also, even when we do get to it, it's still going to be 80% fun and games.

CORE

If I'm gay for any of my main characters, I'm gay for CORE. I just love everything about him. Like, I could totally fangirl over my own character for a while, and I hope that other people join me in that once you all learn more about him and see some of the stuff I have planned for him! He's just too good.

???!?!?!?

I'm trying really hard not to start any new series, but that's so damn hard to do when I get so many ideas and inspirations for new stories. If only I was like those other people who start a bunch of new stories and then never finish them, right? But nope. I just have to be one of those people who start new stories but also don't drop their current stories. Sigh. But on a more serious note, I'm getting more and more inspired for like 5 different series. I wrote the first 3 chapters or so for one of them this week. I was really, really happy with the first chapter, but then I started losing focus in the second chapter and realized I'm not sure what I want to do with it overall, so that's definitely being shelved for now. Super happy with the first chapter, though. It's probably the best horror that I've ever written... seeing as how it's some of the only horror I've ever written.

I really would like to start a new series sometime soonish though. I'm just not sure which one. I keep on wanting to try writing a "serious" plot story with action and important drama and stuff - much moreso than in TQH, anyways, but I just keep on doubting myself to actually pull something like that off given what happened with ASV, SG, and now EDE.

I'm also super torn on whether I want to write another harem or something between a monogamous couple. You know how much I love my romance and that it's going to be included in literally every single story I ever write. As much as I love harems, I just really want to try writing something long-term between only one guy and girl dating. 

Also, are battle schools still in? Probably not...
