Good morning!

How much are you aligned with God and His plan for your life? Sometimes our excuse might be that we don’t know what His plan is! However, I don’t mean a step by step career path. When you look at your physical, spiritual, mental, emotional, relational aspects of life, are you bearing fruit?

We have a busy, productive cultural thrust most of the time. So much of what is pushed by the world is the need for productivity. However, that in and of itself could be pushing you out of alignment with God.

Our fruit will manifest as joy, peace, patience, kindness, self-care, other-care, wellness and many more. If we are edgy, anxious, bitter, resentful or you name the toxic emotion, we might be productive but we are producing little that is beneficial.

I read a great post by someone on social media whose handle is “mycoachjosh” and he made some wonderful points about this. God doesn’t condemn us when we get misaligned. He calls us back. It’s time to return. If you need to “return” in any area of your life, then God is calling you and He has good plans for you.

As Josh said, the enemy doesn’t need to destroy you outright. He can shift your focus, distort your identity, or disconnect you from your Source. The world’s system was engineered to keep you running fast but living shallow. Always achieving, rarely abiding. Always doing, but never becoming.

Apart from Me, you can do nothing.  John 15:5

Even this goes against self-help culture that pushes for you to do it all yourself. But, even in this, you will hustle and strive your way right into misalignment.

As he points out, there are 4 Rs to help Recenter on God:

We are meant to abide. And out of our abiding in Him, fruit comes naturally.

Even if you are not having alignment issues,  are there any areas that you could do some preventative work? Remember, it isn’t about trying harder. It is about aligning our hearts with the heart of God. And even in this, God says He is the One who will help you want to do what you may not even want to do!

“For it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill His good purpose.”

Philippians 2:13

I love the word Abide! When I do it, I feel it deeply.
