The Mission Table and the next expansion

The mission table has been a core part of World of Warcraft gameplay for two expansions now, and I’m curious: Do you want it to be in the next expansion, too? I’d be surprised if it wasn’t part of the next expansion, but that isn’t the question. Do you want the next expansion to have a mission table?
Personally, I do. I enjoy the mission table. I like the management elements it brings to the game, and if anything, I’d love to see a little more complexity and interactivity with that management. I enjoyed the Warlords of Draenor iteration of the mission table more than the Legion version for that reason — a deeper pool of potential recruits and perks meant a higher possibility of customization and specialization. If two different people had two different goals in the game, their mission table rosters probably didn’t look similar at all. In a game without much customization, that was pretty cool.
The mission table also provides a way to play even if you don’t have much time to log in on any given day. If all you have is five minutes free during a particularly hectic week, that’s okay: you can log in (or use the mobile app) and feel like you’ve accomplished something.
I absolutely hope the next expansion includes its own take on the mission table. And if it isn’t included, I might even be a little heartbroken. What about you? Do you want a mission table, or would you prefer to never, ever see one again?
I want to see the followers become hirelings that can help us run dungeons solo to see content we otherwise wouldn't and practice healing/tanking in a safe environment before entering a queue where players expect us to know the fights. A bot-filled party, possibly expanding to allow two friends to level in the roles/specs they want and see everything even if those specs aren't build for leveling.

I really like that idea. It's basically just a souped up version of choosing a follower as a bodyguard, then doing World Quests, but way cooler.

For someone whose playtime is getting increasingly limited, especially with the Mobile App, the Mission table has allowed me to somewhat keep up with things and get a feeling of progression, be it by leveling the Followers or optimizing your squap for gold making, I could see this thing expanded on, by maybe having some minigames added to it (think simple Turn-Based strategy etc).

The part I like the best is that I can do the missions from my phone. So when I'm on the road I can still "play" the game when I don't have a computer available to launch the full game.

I don't mind it, but I vaguely recall it being sold for WoD as more than it turned out to be. The way it was described, I had visions of going on missions WITH my followers. Like mini questing scenarios I would take part in, not just being the bored quest-giver that it turned out to be. THAT could be a super fun mini-game. Scenario missions where you have to optimize your "party" (of your character and your followers) to take down a mini-boss.

No thank you! Vanilla through MoP did just fine without a mission table and I'd very much like a return to not having one. To me, the mission table is nothing more than a chore. It feels like a Facebook game with artificial time gating and no real game-play.

I preferred WoD's version- this one is just blah. It feels in the way when it blocks me from doing things and kinda boring when it doesn't. The other one might have been a chore but I could achieve some kind of goal with it, at least. Also hate all the character enhancements cluttering up my bags and my bank, and fact that the cap keeps growing.

I enjoyed the situation that a level 3 Inn in the Garrison provided a once a week "Press Your Luck" with rolling the odds on what followers you could get. Some weeks were terribly hard to chose who to take, and other weeks were terribly hard at who was the least worst option! LOL.. that sort of customization, with an uncontrollable variable, led to the cool opportunity to have NPC race followers! Like Hozen and Jinyu!

I like it even on auto pilot. We all have different priorities. I'm sure some folks are running the missions for primal sargerite, but not me. I like the mission for AP, which I bet some skip. This is why I think the missions table still has value.

I like the mission table, but I hate the constantly evolving followers cap level that Legion has. I just want it to be done so I can put it on autopilot. Granted that probably isn't at all good for greater game play. I just loved it in WoD for the gold. Kind of miss that easy income. XD I won't be sad if it goes away or if it stays.

Meh. It seems like more of a chore than anything else and the never-ending leveling of champions is onerous. It's also not an alt-friendly system.
Sadly, I think the mission table is here to stay and it is singularly the least engaging mini-game Blizzard has.

Not all that fussed, to be honest. I enjoy sending my champions on missions, but I hate all the micromanagement around it, like the enhancements clogging up my bags (+10% success chance when on a mission with treeants, reduced mission length etc). So, yeah... If they keep them, fine, but I won't cry to much if they don't.
