Watching Blizzard: A busy day in the Blizzardverse

Ah, Tuesday, that glorious Day When All The Things Happen. It's one of the reasons we moved the podcast from Tuesday to Wednesday — because otherwise All The Things would happen and almost everyone would be off podcasting, leaving only me, your humble narrator Liz, to deal with All The Things. (I'm very humble, which is why I assume this change was entirely about me.) All of that aside, it was still a pretty busy day for all things Blizzard.

Here's what's happening in the Blizzardverse.

Overwatch League is back on Wednesday

Hey! That's tomorrow! The matches start off at 6 p.m. CST with Shock vs. Spitfire, followed by the bound to be boring Dragons vs. Dynasty, and wrapping up with Gladiators vs. Valiant. Check out the week's full schedule.
Anna recaps all of last week's Overwatch action and looks forward to this week. While the league is back tomorrow, Friday's match between Dynasty and Excelsior will be the one to watch — as one of these of-yet-undefeated teams is going to rack up its first loss.

Blizzard World has arrived!

Our favorite virtual theme park is finally live in game.
... and with it comes an amazing collection of new cosmetic items, like Black Cat D.Va.

It's quiet in Heroes of the Storm... for now

We had a some excitement last week with new mecha skins (and an awesome anime trailer), but this week's lineup is a little same old same old.
However, we're due for a new hero soon — and we had our first teaser this afternoon. The majority of Team Blizzard Watch thinks that green splotch looks a bit like Illidan's prison from the beginning of Legion... so is it possible we'll be getting one of the Wardens, like Maiev?

WoW's leveling drama continues

The leveling experience has changed (to some controversy), and now the Recruit-a-Friend experience has changed, with a significant XP boost reduction. Mitch talks about the change and who Recruit-a-Friend is actually for.

Mitch is trying to kill us all

But what else is new? Mitch introduces us to the terrifying ALL THE THINGS addon — no, really, that's what it's called — which tells you about all the things you haven't collected yet. Spoiler alert: it's a lot. Secondary spoiler alert: you will want to get them all. Tertiary spoiler alert: you will never have time to get them all.

And since I don't think Mitch reads these, maybe I should sneak in more Mitch-themed jokes in the future? It's something to consider, anyway.
