Weekly Update - 8th of December

Hey friends!

Finally some fucking progress, God yes.

Now, I add the caveat here that I've not managed to get up to quite my former pace, and I'm still finishing up that much-belated commission I'm doing, but I'm hoping to get more productive as the days go by - and with any luck, succeed in some of that today!

This week, which has been the best in a long time, my main focus has been the Anubis story because it's simply been the one that has appealed the most. I wanted to write some fantasy shit, and here we are.

I've gotten it up to 6k words, and it was at 1.5k at the start of the week. This has been 1.5k per day - I didn't get so productive on Monday or Tuesday, but ever since it's been consistently good - and with any luck I'm going to eke out at least another 500 or 1k of the belated monthly exclusive later today. (Gotta do the money shit first sadly, as yer boi needs to actually make some money, hahahah.)

In the wider sense, this is a pretty dramatic shift for me, because while I'm averaging about 6k words a day now (a far cry from the 10k I need to be fully productive, but a very satisfying number given all the shit that has occurred) it's also accompanied by an increased focus and a positive will towards getting shit done. When I was really doing badly, I couldn't write good stuff, and then more recently there's been the illnesses and exhaustion and such, but the smut floweth naturally now.

My near-future aim is to have that belated commission done (I write 1k a day of it, and it's almost finished - next week should be the end of it - which is bad timing for this stuff but it reflects a better shift overall) and then to use that 1k per day for Sephalla, and to add the monthly stuff atop what I do, and basically push towards getting everything nice and consistent again.

I may not unpause in January because I don't think it's fair to charge until I've actually caught up, but regardless, by the end of January I'm optimistic that we'll be back to polls and hopefully some paid releases by the end of that month so things will be going smoothly into the new year!

Also - I will be working next week, but then effectively taking the next two off. I am not joking about the money side when it comes to the commission stuff, I don't exactly make oodles when I'm doing really well, and these past 4 months have seen my income drop at times to a quarter or less of what it was, so I've been on savings up until the last month or so when I've finally been able to sell to my consistent commissioner. As a result I will be working on his stuff after a full week off, and then starting work as normal on January the 2nd.

I won't put up weekly updates on the 22nd or 29th, as a result of this, because obviously I won't have done anything, hahaha! (Though if next week sees a lot of progress on stuff I might end up adding a bit of that in the second week to get a release out before the new year, though no promises as of yet.)
