世界文明崩壊は環境活動家による実験動物の開放を引き金に、未知のウィルスの蔓延によって引き起こされた。

生き残った人類は独自にコミュニティを作り繁栄を取り戻すも、人が集まるところにはウィルスによって変異した感染者が集まり、破壊された。

再建と破壊が繰り返される中で、科学技術の伝承は途絶え、文献は燃え、教育が出来なくなり、人々は食料を生産する能力がなくなった。

ただ一つ、文明崩壊前の遺物は以前健在であり、電力さえあれば稼働するものもある。このことから生存者は電源を探すスカベンジャー、農業を復興させる人々ワーカー、それらから奪うレイダーの３勢力に分かれた。

ダリア・ブラックの生まれは不明、食料を探しさまよう放浪者の子との説もある。

彼女は誰とも行動を共にしない一匹狼ゆえ言葉は話せるものの、おおよそ人類に必要なものはほとんど持っていない。

知っていることは遺物に電力を供給すれば動くという事だけ。これはスカベンジャーを観察するうちに習得したと思われる。

ある時彼女は一つの埋もれているものの健全な遺物を発見する。

人工タンパク質と炭水化物、繊維、ビタミン・ミネラル、脂肪等を生成し、食料を生産する工場だった。

文明崩壊前の人類が食べていた「ハンバーガー」である。

彼女は工場の電源を取り戻し、食品の生成に成功する。

フルオートメーションで製造されるため、おそらく電源が消滅するまで食料に困ることはない。

そして彼女は知らなかった。

食べ過ぎれば、太るということを…

The Collapse of Civilization

The downfall of global civilization was triggered when environmental activists released experimental animals, unknowingly unleashing a previously unknown virus. As the virus spread rapidly, it brought about the collapse of societies around the world.

The survivors formed independent communities, gradually regaining a semblance of prosperity. However, wherever people gathered, mutated infected—transformed by the virus—inevitably followed, bringing destruction in their wake.

This cycle of reconstruction and devastation repeated endlessly. The transmission of scientific knowledge came to a halt, documents were burned, and proper education became impossible. Eventually, people lost even the ability to produce food.

Yet, relics of the pre-collapse civilization still remained. Some of them were still functional—as long as they had a power source. Because of this, the survivors splintered into three main factions:

Scavengers, who searched tirelessly for usable power;

Workers, who strove to restore agriculture;

and Raiders, who simply took from the other two.

Dahlia Black

Dahlia Black's origins are unknown. Some say she was born to wandering scavengers in search of food. A lone wolf, she rarely speaks and travels alone, possessing almost none of the skills deemed essential for survival.

The only thing she truly understands is that relics can function again if provided with power—a knowledge she likely acquired from silently observing scavengers at work.

One day, Dahlia discovered a buried, fully intact relic.

It was a food production facility—capable of synthesizing artificial proteins, carbohydrates, fiber, vitamins, minerals, and fats.

It made what pre-collapse humans once called a "hamburger."

She managed to restore power to the facility, successfully restarting food production. Fully automated, the factory could likely continue manufacturing food until its energy source is depleted—ensuring she would never go hungry again.

And she didn't know.

That if she ate too much, she would gain weight...
