The future of Project Bastion.
Added 2024-04-09 18:08:15 +0000 UTCProject Bastion was originally an experiment, and while I would consider it to be a success content-wise, it just hasn't caught on like I was hoping. While I consider my own enjoyment a critical majority when it comes to deciding what I am writing, I am also attempting to make this a career, which means I can't stick my head in the sand when something isn't doing as well as I would like.
All of that boils down to the fact that I will no longer be writing Project Bastion. Its final chapter will be this Thursday.
Unlike the ending of Mettle, Metal, Meddled, Project Bastion will stop without a proper ending. This is because, unlike MMM, I don't consider the story to be over, or even in a transitional space. While I understand that such an abrupt ending is unfortunate and more than a little frustrating, I don't want to whip up some sort of fake, artificial capstone when the story is nowhere near ready for that.
I know some of you have really enjoyed Project Bastion, and I am sorry that I think this is necessary. Hopefully, you can trust me enough as a writer to stick around and see the next story I have in mind, but I fully understand if you are no longer interested.
Also, because I know some people will wonder, the fact that I'm not posting a Project Bastion today is just an unlikely coincidence.

Any good ones other than terror infinity and ultimate evolution? I’m always looking for more in this genre

It was a variation of the infinity genre that I'm always happy to read, because being able to visit so many different locales keeps the story fresh.
