Rise of the Battlemage (Poll)
Added 2024-06-25 03:44:14 +0000 UTCHello! During the last full-scale mission, the Skyforged Vanguard managed to acquire two ships. The L-2783 was named the Whale Shark, and now your job is to name the CR70. This ship will be undergoing considerable upgrades and will likely be frequently paired with the Whale Shark as its escort/heavy hitter.
Your name options are:

You know what would be fucking HILARIOUS? An https://starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Assertor-class_Star_Dreadnought plated in Beskar 😆 🤣 damnit. I wanted to do one of those blue ship links. How do you do that?

2024-06-25 06:21:20 +0000 UTCInteresting idea, but that's not what he's planning to use it for. He's gonna send it to escort the salvage ship. Once he can find a decent location to hit having it even just the way it is will already be a massive step. The fact is has enough space for a docking bay is fantastic because they can send a single fighter as escort too. Or if they decide to (I would) they can use 2 Raindrops. Like I said, its going to depend on what he has planned for upgrades.

2024-06-25 04:24:05 +0000 UTCThey should turn the CR70 into a missile boat. I'd like to see Deacon use ideas from other mediums to bring a bit of variety to Star Wars. In my opinion, the CR70 is too small to be a viable capital ship, the Rebels used smaller ships well because they had large squads of fighters and bombers. But against the truly massive ships in Star Wars..They just don't pack enough of a punch. And when they do.. Well, they have to sacrifice power to their shields most likely. So why not swap all those medium (at best) turbo-lasers, for missile bays? Supe the hell out of it's sensor-suite, pump the majority of it's power into shields and engines (which it already has significantly more of) and cover it in armor. Then use those sensors to guide the plethora of missiles it can fire. Throw enough of them at a Star Destroyer with good enough guidance systems and you're basically doing what bombers do without the risk.
