Finally done
Added 2018-11-15 16:42:45 +0000 UTCThe transferring is finally done. Each character (plus Capture) now has a file all to themselves. Hopefully I'll never have to do this again... I guess I could have made a different file for every major storyline branch but I think that I might have gone insane. But, well, if a single character ever gets as large as the entire game is at this point, I guess that'll be something to be proud of, eh?
So I'm going to try to get some writing done this afternoon and tomorrow, and maybe a bit on Saturday, so I can finally get an incremental out again. But for both incremental followers and those who'll see a release on December 1st, a few things:
Some of the images are gone. Twine was having problems adding images to the files at all, possibly as a result of the Windows update, and, well, Twine's image handling isn't great anyway. All of the images that were actually embedded in the program aren't there anymore. I'm going to try and add most, or at least some, back in, although a number of them weren't terribly necessary. But, some of the houses and whatnot are definitely necessary for atmosphere, so they'll be back in. All the images since I started using imgur links are still there. (I may eventually take to packaging an image folder with the zips and referencing images from there, if necessary.)
I can't be sure I got everything. The simple potential for human error and the extremely unreliable method I had for doing this process, and my own shoddy memory, means I can't be absolutely certain I got every passage. If you find a branch that used to be there and is now redlinked, let me know so I can fix it. This pertains to any and all versions, since I had a couple "I could have sworn I wrote that" moments while working on this. (About the only thing I've ever deliberately removed is the one sword option in the prop museum, and I replaced that with something else.) If you find something that's present in an older version but missing from one of the new ones, let me know as precisely as possible, along with the version number you found it in.
Anyway, now I can actually get back to writing, which is a huge relief. I've honestly been kind of miserable about this whole thing, waking up and spending hours on drudgework instead of being creative is depressing. But! Now back to work! Probably fiddle a bit with some of Holly's Thanksgiving stuff, potentially start a few things for Buddy's, and of course, probably time to start in on Christmas content. And assorted non-seasonal things too, obviously!

Congratulations! From what I've experienced so far with DW is that it is a mammoth amount of writing. Hats off to you.
