New Chat Channel
Added 2022-02-13 19:13:04 +0000 UTCHello there. I'm going to set up a chat so we can discuss questionable automotive ideas and such. I was thinking Discord might be the best, but I wanted to post the question to see if anyone had any comments or other ideas. let me know your thoughts.

Free tier of Slack doesn't keep very much history, if that's a consideration.

2022-02-16 22:23:22 +0000 UTCI would lean to making it open to everyone. Perhaps on the discord you can make a channel restricted to Patreon supporters only, but there will be more engagement and cool ideas thrown around if it’s made available to more people.

2022-02-13 22:01:13 +0000 UTCI’ve never been a fan of discord for a repository of information. I don’t like the chat room-esque style of it. I like being able to search and find information and Discord doesn’t do that as well as other options. If all you want is a chat room then go for it. I’d suggest Reddit for a depository. It’s searchable, it allows conversation, it’s free, it can be made private. Can be moderated.
