Going full time

Dear patrons,

Yesterday was the last day in IT for me (for now). I'm now going full time with Terrain4Print.

TL;DR

I'm going full time on 3D modeling. Expect many more models.

The ultimate goal

Live on income from patreon. Release all terrain for free. I'm very very far from that right now.

The long term goal

Live on income from patreon. Release some terrain for free and some only to patrons.

The short term plan

I need to ramp up income quite a bit. I will do a kickstarter, or probably several. For you patrons on existing levels, you will always get every model I release.

Models created will go into my shop (on gumroad). A small portion will be released for free (about 20%).

Two new pledge levels will be published here. For $5, you will get all my released models. Again, if you are on an existing pledge level, even $1, you are welcome to stay there and you will still get all my released models. For $10 a month you will get access to source files and early releases.

What kickstarter then?

I have three potential kickstarter projects in mind. All of them are for Warhammer 40k. Fear not, fantasy lovers, I will continue to work with fantasy (and modern and anything else). We will have a poll (later) and I will select one of them. More info will come later but very short, here they are:

Discord

I have set up a discord server. As patrons you have access to special channels.

I haven't listed everything yet, as I am old school/OCD (delete as appropriate) and only list stuff once I have painted a set that I can photograph. But Markus' designs are probably the most popular stuff I sell.

Congrats! Yesterday I put my 2 weeks notice in from my engineering job to do our miniature/board game business full time! Awesome news to hear you're able to do the same now. Cool coincidence and I'm sure you'll be successful! (I actually owe our success in part to you as well, as your items are very popular, so thank you!)
