I mean... Just have her parents join too? They could just DEMAND joining on the condition on working alongside Mera and Reid... Those two are stupidly powerful enough the General will be forced to bend over backwards begging them to join the war... I honestly wonder how the author will justify the Parents NOT JOINING, if thats the case... Because they obviously ONLY care about the "quiet live in town" because it "is good for their little girl" what we saw from them so far I would NOT see them staying at home "protecting the town" when their daughter is dragged off/runs off to war...
