I know this one's rough around the edge's, but if Gungrave G.O.R.E is anything to go by, devs who are willing to listen to fan feedback can make a much improved rendition of the product we get after the fact. It's pretty shitty we live in a world where game development is laden with these kinds of setbacks, but game development technology is getting more complicated by the day, both in terms of software and hardware. So unless it's damn near unplayable because of its flaws (like West of Dead), I don't think it's beyond reason to give hope to the ones who made the game.
