PROBLEMS WITH THE NEW SYSTEM

I just realized that many of you aren’t familiar with Patreon’s DM system. I’ve already sent the January reward link to everyone who paid in January, but I’ve seen several comments saying you didn’t receive it.
I checked, and the link is in our DMs. I even messaged some of you directly but got no response—so I’m guessing a lot of you don’t even know where to find your messages on Patreon.
Honestly, I’m not a fan of this platform. It allows me to make a living, but it’s far from intuitive—for both creators and members. (And I know this firsthand since I also subscribe to other artists.)
To help you out, I’m attaching some screenshots showing where to find your DMs:
1️⃣ Open your HOME PAGE on Patreon.
2️⃣ On the left side of the screen, you’ll see a panel—click on COMMUNITY ⬇️
3️⃣ Inside the COMMUNITY tab, you’ll find two sections:
CHATS (for general discussions)
DIRECT MESSAGES (🔹 This is where you’ll find all the LINKS I’ve shared with you!)
I’ll be honest—I’m frustrated and exhausted trying to manage all of this. I miss the old-school way of sharing my comics, but with piracy being a huge issue, I have no choice but to use a system that makes things more complicated for all of us.
I’d rather spend my time drawing dads, not dealing with technical issues and leaks. But here we are. I really appreciate your patience and support while I try to make this work. 🙏

They actually do. I get messages from Patreon each time a creator send me DMs too. I literally got a notification from just texting me here too

2025-02-15 15:23:44 +0000 UTCthanks for the support man! it means a lot. I think that many users can't really understand how the platform works and they can't find the DM section. Even though Patreon should also send an e-mail when you get a message from a creator. So idk!

If anything I will kindly ask yhe subscribers this: Please, read the details, we creators post. We are not trying to overcomplicate things, only to take the measures needed to protect our hard works and you as subscribers as well. You too deserve to get your rewards for supporting your favorite artists as well after all

2025-02-15 12:51:12 +0000 UTCThere is nothing wrong to trying to protect yourself and your hard work. You deserve to get paid for all that you make, thus these steps are very reasonable to me. Besides, come on guys, you can't tell me it is so hard to click the bubble icon and use the link from there now.
