I wonder had his hand not been forced, how long Rush would've kept the bridge secret. I think Young thought there was possibility Rush gained some control over the ship because when they became trapped Rush gave him a look waiting for him to give up his secret to save his own ass. I imagine Telford would be furious if he had some way to still be in communication of the ship. If I were in Young's position, my first order would be to turn Destiny around & go back to the last know position of the seed ship & try to track it down, or if Destiny knows where it is, go their directly to try to rescue Telford if he's still on it
