Update!

I told ya’ll I would keep you updated on treatment. I had my verification appointment an hour ago and we’re now driving back home. I finally start my treatment tomorrow at 10:30am and then every single day after that for 23 sessions. I was a bit confused because they had only taken scans and images of the lesion in the back of my head and none of the one in my back, but apparently they said the treatments will be separate and the doctor will let me know for sure once he returns (he’s off for 2 weeks). I wanted to make sure that what we paid and what the insurance paid would cover both, and my case worker said it should.
I’ve revised my schedule a bit to record every day so that I can keep on top of things during treatment. The trip to the hospital is 2 hours total and we have to pay for tolls and parking, so it’s a bit of a hassle, but hopefully I’ll be able to manage things okay. We’ll see how things go this first week.
