So seeing as Eclipse was both the first model kit I ever did, and conceivably will be the last main kit in the fishmech set, I've decided the only appropriate name for this kit is: "Total Eclipse of the Heart."
And I've started working through that~ Because the base model is a relatively simple loadout, I'm gonna be spending a good chunk of time just making alt pieces for this one. Two thruster sets. The blocking for one shown here and a centrally mounted one as well, freeing up the two shoulder hardpoints. I also want to make a general use weapons set for her, maybe an alt syle of leg, and just, options and bits abound
A lot of what I've got pictured here in grey is just placeholders while I work through the model, and the test print was just to make sure the torso assembled correctly~ But I wanted to get a post up to start conveying the themes/ideas to you all.
Also Voidframes make great bowling balls. (I'm gonna see if I can break this up to make it printable~)

2023-03-09 01:23:02 +0000 UTCLooks great. I'm curious though, what is the Eclipse analogous to? Looks similar in size to the Koi and the Mako. I would say it must be the Commander version, but we also have a Commander Frame. Looks good, whatever it is though. If you ever get a chance, I know one thing I would love, would be versions of the Brrrrt guns without the shielding/plating. I just really prefer the bare barrels style. Anyways, can't wait to see the finished model for the Eclipse.

2023-03-08 19:38:09 +0000 UTCNot gonna lie, I kinda love the look of it without the “shins” attached, i.e. just super short, nubby legs—having the option to just stick feet on those “wheels” (and of course just keep them as wheels too) is very appealing to me :D
