May_Work in Progress 1

So besides moving across the country, and getting mostly set up (arguably if you can call a kitchen island workstation set up while I wait for desks xD, set up)

I've been working through the re-work/updates to the sturgeon frame. Most of the changes to the actual frame are aesthetic, but swapping the arms over to the ball joints of the newer frames. Makes poses way easier, and this time around for the sturgeon and Geist, I'll be doing a couple of preposed arms for the held heavy weapons. (Aimed and lowered) (I'll eventually be getting to this as well for the archer/koi in the last upgrade kit before the VC.) Adding in an updated undermount slot style for the heavier main weapons, all the standard undermount slots that most of my mechs have as well are to be added, and a handful of other things. I think what will most likely happen is the Kaluga and Sturgeon work will end up taking a bit more time then I initially planned for, and the scheduling'll probably move around a bit to look like this:
Sturgeon & Kaluga update / AnglerGeist Update / Original FishMech Stuff / VoidCrafted, but we'll see how things actually work out~

I find design being an iterative process can be a bit...frustrating sometimes, especially with the elapsed time from when I modeled the sturgeon to where I am at now xD but I think I'll be doing some neat things here for it~

I haven't actually gotten around to printing the Sturgeon or the AnglerGeist yet, so I'm stoked to get updated versions--your models are always fantastic, but the recent ones have really been going above and beyond. Also super thrilled to see the Sturgeon getting a new gatling gun--I always found that to be the weakest part. The new one you made for the TEotH is much cooler. But any chance this updated one can actually have 6 barrels instead of 3 that split at the end? I'm sure that's not high priority, but it would be awesome. Either way, looking forward to it. Keep up the great work! (and hope you can get settled in to the new place quickly!)

The level of detail in your kits is astounding...

Understood, thanks!

Ehhh sorta kinda. A lot of this is a remodel of those pieces. Technically the side pieces that the original shoulder balls slotted into will work with the previous torso, but this is best considered a remodel of most of the key pieces even if it doesn't look like it immediately from the images. The only thing I haven't really touched on was the legs, and even those got some edits/tweaks made to them. Once this goes up, like the koi/archerfish it will replace the previous model kit in its entirety.

Lookin' good! Apologies if you've already mentioned it, but will the new arm socket/side vents be compatible with the previous versions of the torso and thrusters?
