My on-going web novel series, A Hero Past the 25th, resumes on October 11 on Royal Road, with chapters of the seventh episode.
We follow the tried and true schedule with updates on three days a week, Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, until the story's conclusion. All the chapters will be posted on the same All Songs fiction page as the previous three parts.
Below is the blurb for this book.
You can stop reading right here if you wish to go in completely fresh and know nothing beforehand.
Verse 7 synopsis:
The pirate confederacy lies defeated, peace at sea restored, but hardly have the waves quieted when clouds of storm amass on the horizon again.
The Empire's growing sphere of influence does not inspire awe in the southern Kingdom of Langoria, which prepares to retaliate with force, calling upon every sword, spear, and axe to rise against the black banner of Tratovia.
To prevent the calamitous battle, Yuliana resolves to return to her homeland and face her father, the King of Langoria, for one last time—but not alone. A powerful alliance of new and old friends, including returned Izumi, assemble in Bhastifal to take the olive branch and unite the last of the human race.
Yet, going back home also means confronting the troubled past that might be best left forgotten.
So that's the deal.
A couple of readers already guessed what the setting will be. Enjoy being correct!
The official title and cover will be revealed closer to the launch date.
Before the previous part, I wrote extensively about my process, research, book influences, and inspirations, but this time I will tell you—not much anything. The word count, how many chapters, how long will the run be, the themes, messages, nobody will know any of that until it's finished.
I'll just say, if you know you are easily disturbed as a reader, I won't blame you if you skip this one. It's fine. Thank you for following the story this far. Hope you'll look forward to my other works.
But those of you, who are prepared to journey to the heart of darkness again, I salute you.
Hope you'll look forward to this story, the culmination of four years of literary uphill battle.
Until next time!
