2023-04-03 18:20:14 +0000 UTCI didn’t even know people considered the 15 minute city an issue until someone on a different channel lumped it into a list of bad things that we can blame on Democrats. I asked him - what does a “15 minute city” have to do with Democrats.. or any political party? As you said… it’s hardly a new idea… it used to be called a “neighborhood”. I think of my Aunt’s house in Throgs Neck.. everything they needed was within a 15 minute walk.. including a hospital. They walked up to Tremont Avenue to go shopping. There was a butcher, a grocer, a chain drug store, a bakery and clothing stores all within a 15 min walk or bus ride.
