So, Anduin sent Shaw to distract Genn each time he wanted to escape to play as Jerek on Goldshire <w<. As Genn has the tendency of over protect Anduin for the fear to lose him as he lost Varian (TwT), Anduin has to dodge the vigilance of the old wolf.
Shaw offered himself to play as a distraction, because he is very into the King. All this, before Shaw meets Flynn, hahaha!!!
