New Teen Titans was, aside from the obvious reason of a very well-drawn Teen Wonder, a marvelous book. Debuting in 1980 it took a 20-year-old concept that had gotten a little dusty and infused it with new life. So much so that for a brief time, it even became the #1 selling comic, outpacing X-Men who were also in their absolute top-form hey-day. A few issues after this, it showcases Robin's change into Nightwing, the greatest example of character evolution in comics.
