RJ Update
Added 2020-09-21 13:33:33 +0000 UTCHey all. I've been pretty up-and-down this week. I was on a big high because I was proud of the changes I made to the game (the navigation menus, the help screens, and the major variable changes behind the scenes). I was like "YES! This is easily the best version of the game so far."
Then it got kind of slammed on F95Zone. There was 1 bug that crashed the game and 1 bug that caused Lisa's newest scene not to appear. This made the game a "buggy mess" in a lot of people's eyes and I read some pretty negative things about the game and myself. I've been writing for a while. I've published books in the past. There have been some bad reviews and I'm used to getting criticism. It still hurt quite a bit though and I've been stressed about it all weekend.
I got the bugs fixed though, got the new version out. The one you download from here should not have any of those errors anymore.
But ALSO over the weekend, I got a bunch more patrons. More people who think that my game is worth a little money, so that feels great. Every time I saw a new patron pop up on my phone, I got a rush. It's makes me feel so good that you all have chosen to support me. It makes me look forward to working on the game and making it better for you all.
Okay, so non-Come Home related things going on in my life this last week:
I held my first Pathfinder 2nd Edition game with my new group (since 2 people left my last group). It was sort of a paperwork session as we figured out how to make characters, but then I ran them through the demo adventure for Pathfinder 2e and they killed an ogre. It was fun and the new people are great. I'm looking forward to running more of these sessions.
I've been playing through Master Mode of Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, attempting to 100% it in anticipation for Age of Calamity. It was tough for the first couple hours, getting used to all the enemies being extremely overpowered, but now I barely notice that I'm playing in Master Mode. I've defeated all the divine beasts now and am just running around doing shrines and side-quests and whatnot. It's my favorite thing to do in my chill-time.
I also just started playing Hades for the Switch. I downloaded it yesterday and I'm hooked. It's so much fun. I'm a huge fan of rogue-like games and this one hits the spot perfectly. Plus the character models and all the work that's gone into the multitude of little conversations that you have is pretty impressive. I love it.
That's about it for me really. My whole week has been gaming. Not bad, all things considered.
Thank you so much for your support, it really does mean a lot to me. Love you all and hope that you have a great day.
