RJ Ramblings

Hey all! 

So last week was Thanksgiving in the U.S. It's not a holiday that I'm really fond of (not that I'm fond of any holidays really). This year was actually pretty nice though. We usually go to my partner's family, which is a 4 hour drive and a couple days sleeping on an uncomfortable bed and just being bored and wishing I could be at home working on things.

This year though, we decided to just stay at home. I roasted a turkey and dressing and some of our favorite sides and we had a nice dinner at the table with just me, my partner, my mom, and my sister. I feel a little bad that my partner didn't get to see their family, but we'll likely go there for Christmas, as long as things are relatively stable. 

Other than the holidays, I've been just kind of chilling this last week. I played a lot of Hyrule Warriors, which is fun but also just makes me want to play through the other Zelda games that I've missed along the years. I've played all of the console entries (although I never finished Majora's Mask or Skyward Sword), but I haven't really played the handheld Zelda games very much at all. I bought A Link to the Past on Switch (which I actually did play on my original GameBoy back in the day), and A Link Between Worlds on 3DS to give them a try sometime. Really just in the Zelda mood right now and love all of it.

Mentally, I realize that I've been a little down. I think some of it is due to the game not progressing as quickly as I want. Some of it is because I didn't get as much of a bump in Patrons as I expected the last release. Actually, my patron total didn't really go up at all last month, which is a little disappointing. My whole idea has always been, "Just keep making the game and eventually people will find it," and that's what I'm going to keep doing, but it is a little disappointing when it you release a new big update after working on it for a couple months and there's not as much of a response as I would like. 

That's not your fault, of course. You are all amazing. I'm just not sure what I could do to help boost the amount of people who see and play the game and then offer their support. I would love any help with that.

I may miss a few of these posts due to travel and holidays around Christmas, but I'm hoping to have everything scheduled in advanced (I normally do on the images at least) and be able to post all of this without any issues. If I miss a day or two, I hope you'll understand.
