Added 2020-12-14 15:05:59 +0000 UTCHi all! I'm feeling really good right now. The games development is going great (though this update is taking longer than I expected). I've been talking to people in the community a lot more, which has been really nice. And I've just been enjoying making the game and looking forward to every day when I sit down at my desk to start creating.
Outside of the game, I haven't been doing a lot. I've still been playing Zelda games mostly. I haven't finished Hyrule Warriors yet, as I lost interest a bit in the grind. I did finish A Link Between Worlds though, and that one was amazing. Right after finishing that, I downloaded Oracles of Ages on my 3DS and have been playing through that one now, though it's not catching my interest quite as much, mostly due to it being an original Gameboy game and feeling archaic by today's standards. Still fun though, and very cute.
Also started playing through the Resident Evil 3 Remake with my partner. We like to play through scary games like this together, passing the controller occasionally. It's fun. I love the Resident Evil games, but I hadn't heard much positivity for this one. I get it, because so far I'm not liking it as much as the RE2 remake, but I'm still enjoying playing it, and it's fulfilling that survival horror itch that I get sometime.
So, one more thing that's been going on in my life - a couple of nights ago, I woke up at 3:30 in the morning hearing a loud scratching in my attic. I laid there in bed listening to it for a while, and it never went away. I grabbed a broom and banged on the ceiling, but whatever it was didn't stop. So I didn't get any sleep that night. Yesterday, I set up a trap in the attic (a humane one, because I don't kill animals). I was expecting to catch a squirrel, because the thing up there sounded big. Instead, I checked the trap later and there were three somewhat big rats inside.
I'm not a huge fan of rats, but they're kind of gross, so I'm a little grossed out that there are rats in my attic. I drove those down to the park a couple of miles away and let them go, but I still heard stuff moving around in my attic last night. Today I have to set up the trap again, then go around my roof and see if I can find out where they got in and plug it up. I'm not too good with heights, but a girl's gotta do what a girl's gotta do.
And that's been my life for the last week. Hope you all are doing great.
Love ya!
