Poll Discussion

Hey all, 

Instead of doing a poll today, I wanted to just talk about my thoughts on the results of the recent polls, and how I'm using that information to decide what to do with the game. Let's look at some of the recent polls.

Sandbox Dates 

Out of 12 votes, 8 of you wanted to get rid of the calendar system. 

What I've decided to do is a little of both. For now, I'm going to get rid of the calendar system entirely. This means that there will still be weekdays and a Day number, but there won't be months anymore and there wont be a definitive end-date for each update anymore. 

This allows me a little more freedom in writing and adding scenes while I'm putting the game together. 

When the game is complete, I'm going to go back in and add the calendar system again, organizing it so that I know what all can be accomplished within a given time in the game. At that point, I'll make the calendar system optional when you start a game, so those who just prefer to play in a casual sandbox can do so, and those who want a little more game in their game can do that too. 

I hope this will please people on both sides of the fence.

Characters You'd Like To See More Of 

Out of 15 votes, 9 voted for Mi-Cha, 4 for Connie, and 2 for the Brazilian Dream Girl.

Okay, first of all, since Claire didn't get any votes, her story is done here after that one night stand. I'm not saying that she absolutely won't pop up again in the future, but if she does, it'll just be for another sex scene or something. 

The Brazilian Dream Girl got 2 votes. I'm sorry to those who like her, but I think I'm going to remove her scene from the game entirely. That scene causes people to have expectations that she is going to show up again in the game, and I just don't have room in the story to fit her in. So what I'm going to do is remove the scene and add it as a bonus unlockable in the gallery. Sorry to those who got their hopes up that this would be a major part of the story. 

Connie got 4 votes. Originally, she was just going to be the waitress that works when Mari doesn't, but I do have some ideas for a small story with her, so I'm going to write a few scenes. It won't be anything in-depth, but you'll get some scenes with her that you will like.

Mi-Cha got the most votes, so I'm going to start expanding on her story in Update 7 and she'll get new scenes every update from that point on. I have some ideas for a storyline for her, but I haven't written or planned anything yet. I'm looking forward to exploring her character more.

Title Change 

A pretty big majority of you did not like this idea, so I'm not doing it. Thanks for setting me straight!

That's all for now. I appreciate all the input that you all give me. I have a vision of the game in my head that I'm always going to stick to in the end, but I also want to give you all a game that you will love. Your input really means a lot and helps me figure out how to move forward.
