Update 7 Progress

Hello all! 

I'll be honest - I didn't make as much progress this week as I'd hoped. I got distracted by more technical things - things that will hopefully make the following week much more productive. 

Firstly, I updated my computer from Windows 7 to Windows 10. I was kind of afraid to do this, because I worried that something would go wrong and it would set me back, but it needed to be done and it turned out great. No problems at all. 

Secondly, I waited in line out side of an electronics store for 5 hours to get a new video card. I have an RTX 3070 now, and man it speeds up renders like crazy. A render that used to take me an hour and a half is now done in 3 minutes. It's nuts! 

This means that I'm able to do a little bit more complicated renders with higher quality in far less time. It also means I can do more frames in my animations, which will make them better as well. It's so nice not to be held back by my hardware anymore. 

Okay, so what DID I get done this week? 

• Write Scenes - 14/16 (88%) - I added a new scene to the chapter and was able to write one scene as well. I was hoping to have this done by now, but it's going slower than I'd like. Part of that is because I'm adding Mi-Cha's story into the mix, and I did not have an outline for her storyline made yet. So I had to figure out what I wanted in her story as well, and I still haven't fully decided. 
• Render Images - 148/306 (48%)
• Render Animations - 10/18 (56%) - Rendering is going much smoother and faster than it has been, thanks to the new card. 
• Write Dates - 2/4 (50%) 
• Write Replayable Sex Scenes - 8/8 (100%) 
• Write Conversations - 19/57 (33%) 
• Functions - 2/6 (33%) 

Total Completion - 58%

Release Date - February 26th 

Final Thoughts

I'm a little embarrassed at how little the completion percentage went up, though I promise I've been working really hard on the game. It'll be better next week for sure. I still think I can hit that February 26th release date, though it's a little tighter than I expected. 

I've been considering releasing on the first week of March instead, mostly due to Patreon things. I tend to get an influx of new patrons after releasing an update. If I release at the end of the month, those new patrons get charged when they sign up, then they get charged again on the first of the next month. Anyway, I'll probably be scheduling my releases a bit different in the future, timing them for the beginning of the month, as I feel like it may affect the number of new patrons I get.
