Chapter 2 Roadmap
Added 2020-06-17 05:59:55 +0000 UTCHello everybody. I just wanted to let you all know what is going on for Chapter 2. I'm going to post updates like this once a week every Wednesday.
First, let's talk about what is going to be in Chapter 2.
15 New Scenes - Chapter 2 has about 15 new scenes. This doesn't count some connecting scenes, or smaller bits that are happening. There are new scenes with Jamie, Lisa, Suzy, Izzy, Mari, Dana, and Kendra. There are new school scenes. There are also a couple of scenes with new characters, and one dream sequence with a new character.
There is 2 new locations, and 3 new characters.
I'll also be implementing school grades, knowledge stats, and a mini-game for the social studies test.
I'm currently working on the art for the town map as well and hope to have that in the next chapter, but I'm not sure if I'll get it done in time. I'm doing all the art myself, and haven't been able to devote as much time to it as I would like.
Right now as planned, there are 124 new images in the game, along with 5 new animations.
So with that said, here's my checklist of things to do for the next chapter along with how much I've done of it. I've put them roughly in order of importance to me.
1. Write 15 scenes: (100%) DONE
2. Write script for new locations: (75%)
3. Render 124 images: (38%)
4. Render 5 animations: (0%)
5. Implement knowledge stats: (90%)
6. Implement grading system (90%)
7. Add Social Studies Minigame (10%)
8. Draw town map (15%)
