Wow, this last week has been CRAZY!

So, I finally received the money from Steam that I've been waiting for, that big initial payment for when the Premium Edition released. I immediately started looking at houses again. Houses for rent this time instead of to buy, since mortgage companies don't want to lend me money, due to not having a 3 year income history. When I was looking for a rent house, having a good landlord was like #1 priority. I was really scared of having a bad landlord, which is one of the main reasons I didn't want to rent in the first place. #2 Priority was a place that would let us have the dogs and had a fence that could contain them. #3 was fast internet. #4 was an office space for me. 

On Tuesday, I looked through the ads, filtered through all the ones that were scummy corporate landlords who buy up houses and rent them out and never even look at the house. I found one house that checked all my boxes, was in our price range, and had a local area code as the contact number. I called up the landlady and we talked for a while and we set up a viewing on Wednesday. 

So Wednesday, I came to the house. We loved the house. We talked to the landlady for a long time, and she was AMAZING. We immediately loved her and she loved us too. So we were like, yes let's do it, we'll move in ASAP. We filled out the application, did a background and credit check, and landlady approved us on the same day and said we could move in on Saturday. 

So over the weekend, I moved to a new house! My own place, just me and my partner now! We have fast internet, FINALLY! We have so much more space. We no longer have a roommate (who I love and we will remain close to, but she was driving me crazy). 

It's literally the best I've felt... ever? 

And I was able to do it all by making this game, doing a job that I love to do. I'm so fucking happy, I can't even express it. Thank you all so much for supporting me, seriously. This is like a dream sometimes. 

So, that was my week. Not much else going on here. We're still very busy getting the house all organized and getting everything set up. Will take a little while. But I'm also back to work on the game, now in my new dedicated office space, instead of in the living room.
