Added 2023-07-10 13:19:01 +0000 UTCHey everybody. This last week has been really good! I've been happy and working and doing all my hobbies in my spare time. Still getting the house in shape, and trying to get all these boxes unpacked as well.
It's been about a month in the new place now and we're pretty settled in. I still have quite a bit of things in boxes and I still have shelves that need to go up on the wall, so I can put stuff up on them, but overall, I no longer feel like I'm having a long stay at an AirBNB. This feels like home now, and it's pretty nice.
I've gotten back into miniature painting, which I hadn't done much of since moving. I also hooked up my 3d printer and have been printing miniatures again. I hadn't done that in like a year or two. AND, I bought another 3d printer lol. The one I had already was a resin printer, which is good for printing small things, like miniatures. But I kinda wanted to try printing some terrain too, like buildings and such for my D&D game. And for that, I needed a larger printer, so I bought a filament printer and have it all hooked up now. I've done a little test print on it, which turned out good, but I'm waiting for more filament to come in before printing more. Looking forward to making stuff with it though. And looking forward to having some cool terrain for D&D.
Here's a guy I printed and painted yesterday:

I've been feeling a little bit of burnout. I actually took most of the day off from working on the game yesterday, and I'm taking most of the day off today as well. I don't really take days off very often. I usually work on the weekends the same as I do on weekdays, but yesterday I sat down and I just couldn't get the energy to write. It happens sometimes. But I'll take the day off today and be back at it tomorrow.
I'm also planning a little mini-vacation towards the end of this month, or maybe beginning of August. After the Free Edition for Update 15 releases. And we want to do a second, bigger vacation once the temperatures around here cool down a bit. Sometime in October, probably. Both of those should be nice.
That's about all I have to talk about today, I guess. Things have been mostly great for me and I'm very happy. I hope you all are doing great and have a fantastic week. Love ya.

2023-07-11 03:42:44 +0000 UTCHi Troy. I have an Elegoo Mars. I've been pretty happy with the prints, but some come out better than others. A filament printer would definitely not so as good on the details. I have an Ender 3 filament printer I'm looking forward to playing around more with.

2023-07-10 21:50:32 +0000 UTCThat is an awesome paintjob! Also, what brand/model of resin printer do you use? The last 3d-printed mini I had done wasn't anywhere nearly as detailed as that but came out looking so-so, which has kept me from investing in one of my own. Maybe it was a filament printer instead of resin? *shrug* Anyway. Based on the amount of progress I've seen in the latest Update, you've more than earned days off and vacations and all that jazz. (Not that you need a reason.)
