Ah the phrase the allies wanted when discussing if games being on Game Pass made you think of them as less was 'perceived value pricing'. It's a lovely little marketing bit basically along the lines of what you said. An amazing item valued at $1 will be seen as less quality than an inferior item priced at $5 just because we have come to associate cheapness with a lack of quality.
