Progress Check In 4-8-24

Hi all! I just wanted to do a quick check in and show you how things are going. Lately I have been outlining the game's story and diving into the writing. Chapter one largely follows canon events with a hefty dose of original content. Working on the writing allows me to do 2 things; firstly, it lets me get the story done (lol), secondly, it allows to plan and track assets we will need to produce for the game, and whether these assets will be unique, or reusable. Making assets will comprise the bulk of our work since writing can be finished in a relatively short amount of time. What is an asset? An asset is anything you see or hear in a game! It can be an animation, a sprite, a sound effect, a voice line, a visual effect, or a UI element. How many do I think there will be? Hundreds- hundreds if not over a thousand- depending on how knife happy we get on the cutting room floor. Chapter 006 alone has a current asset list of 70 items- 25 visuals, and 45 sound assets. Most are reusable, and some are not, but each will take time to craft, pack, and implement. The start is always the hardest part of production- you need to build the sandbox before you can play in it, and the hill is steepest here. However, with some hard work and love we'll have this chunk done soon. We are in it for the long haul.

To paying members, since this is a long term project it is hard for me to predict a ship date. It will be many months. If you are unable, or no longer wish to provide monetary support for such a long period of time I completely understand.
