Believe Me
Added 2021-01-28 21:01:51 +0000 UTCDear friends,
I hope that 2021 is starting off well for you. I hope it finds you healthy and safe and surrounded by love.
We are so very grateful for your support for us, through the ups and downs of the past months and years. It sustains us when things get bumpy to know that you are listening and cheering us on. And I am grateful for your patience, as I don't seem to be able to crank these podcasts out quickly. They are laborious and painstaking, and infused with every bit of love and attention I can muster. And, frankly, sometimes I'm just not up to it. Sometimes telling stories about our lives is too hard, and I need to pause and let us just live our lives.
But we're not done yet. We want to keep at it. My daughter is adamant about that, and so am I. Another podcast episode is in the works, and you'll be the first to know when it's ready. For now, I wanted to share something special with my friends here on Patreon. I stumbled across it today, while looking for some old audio of my daughter. I think it's as beautiful as anything I've ever heard. And yes, I'm biased, but I'm pretty sure I'm right.
I hope you agree. Get a tissue ready.
Love, love, and more love,
Marlo and M.

2021-02-03 17:06:32 +0000 UTCAnother creator I follow recently remarked: "The worst thing about writing a book... is writing a book." I imagine making a podcast can be a bit like that too, sometimes, even if you find the results rewarding. Don't rush on our behalf! But thank you for sharing occasional little snippets like this. It's always lovely to hear a little something from your world.

2021-01-30 11:32:29 +0000 UTCDearheart, take all the time you need. Your art is not the kind that can be mass produced or rushed, and I love the quality of what you create. Whatever you need, however long it takes, I support you. Also, damn, what a great singing voice!

2021-01-28 21:22:32 +0000 UTCThis was beautiful, you are right:) Enjoy your time with your family. You are right about how exhausting it is to tell our stories as parents to trans kids. So many emotions in even simple things sometimes. I appreciate your willingness to share. We'll be here when you are back.
