One of the main lines of pushback I get from more conservative friends & family when trying to talk about socialist policies (mainly green energy, jobs and universal healthcare) is some version of Hobbes' people suck argument. I can get them to agree with a lot of what I'm saying but ultimately they dismiss my points because they think government/people are corrupt inherently. Do you guys have any good methods of countering this?
