Yikes! This scared me and gave me my first republican sentiment. Listen I am a nurse practitioner in Cambridge, MA. Of course I have student loans. I make money but I'm barely getting by. Taxes are really tough on me. Worse than loans. Yes I said it. Everyday I save someone's life but so much of my money goes to a government that is right now supporting a literal genocide. I am far angrier about that than paying back my loans. I had incredible nursing professors and a terrible government. With all due respect, and I never thought I would say this, but taxes are high and it hurts smaller businesses even local medical businesses. That's why all medical clinics just join larger medical monopolies with no raises or better support of staff. I think republicans are very wrong about medicine but I think a lot of left people are wrong too. As far as medical insurance, I literally do not understand what both parties are talking about when they talk about health care in this country. They all sound like martians and not regular Americans with health care needs. I can tell you that insurance companies get away with murder in this country. Such a horror show!!! Their lobbyists powers make insurance companies invincible. They deny everything and charge an arm and a leg. Why can't we talk about this real reality before we pontificate about idealist solutions? One big problem is people hypothesizing and idealizing with no knowledge of what nurse, doctors, social workers, and most importantly patients face on a daily basis Thanks for listening.
